About Target Wellbeing

Meet Debra

I’m Debra — the founder of Target Wellbeing, a long-time educator and a passionate advocate for wellbeing across the lifespan.

With over 20 years of experience in primary education, I have had the privilege of supporting thousands of children, families and educators through leadership and specialist roles including Assistant Principal, Wellbeing Coordinator and Learning Support Teacher. Throughout my career, I have seen firsthand how mindfulness, emotional literacy and evidence-based grounding practices can positively transform a child’s confidence, behaviour and ability to navigate stress, trauma and everyday challenges.

This belief in the power of wellbeing inspired the creation of Target Wellbeing — a space where evidence-informed strategies, practical tools and genuine care come together to support children, teens, parents, seniors and educators across Sydney and the NSW South Coast. My programmes are designed to nurture calm, build resilience and strengthen self-belief skills that support people at every stage of life.

On a personal note, I am a mum to three wonderful adult daughters and a proud grandmother. I am happiest when surrounded by animals, especially my much-loved 13-year-old spoodle, Matilda Anne, who often enjoys “helping” with my planning and online sessions. When I am not teaching or facilitating workshops, you will usually find me in the garden, reading a good book or spending time with my grandson — who reminds me daily why community connection and emotional wellbeing matter so deeply.

At the heart of everything I do is a simple belief:

Every person deserves the chance to thrive and with the right support, anything is possible.
