Peaceful Little Kids Modified Program

Transitioning into school can be a significant change for young children, and our Mindfulness Program is designed to support 4-5 year olds during this crucial period. This program focuses on helping children develop emotional wellbeing and resilience through age-appropriate mindfulness strategies, such as mindful breathing, storytelling and visualisations, how to calm our bodies and kindness and compassion for each other.

Peaceful Kids

‘Peaceful Kids’ is a Mindfulness and Positive Psychology based program to lessen anxiety and stress and increase resilience in children from Kindergarten to Year 6.


Peaceful Kids is an 8-week program created by peaceful kids.com.au, designed to help children who are experiencing stress or anxiety. This program provides the skills, coping strategies, practice and support that children can use to overcome the symptoms of stress and anxiety.

This program helps children to build their emotional resilience so they are better equipped to deal with the day to day stresses that life brings them. The program also involves parental involvement and commitment to supporting the strategies at home. 

  • Outcomes:

    • Emotional regulation; children will learn to manage and recognise their feelings.

    • Social skills; by developing empathy and self-awareness, children will improve their interactions with peers and teachers.

    • Resilience; early exposure to mindfulness will equip children with coping strategies that foster resilience in the face of challenges.

    • Teaches mindfulness exercises and breathing techniques

    • Self-calm; children will learn to self sooth and regulate their own emotions.

  • 8 weeks

    Session Length: 60 minutes

Peaceful Parents

'Peaceful Parents' is a Mindfulness and Positive Psychology based parenting program to increase resilience in both parents and their children. ‘Peaceful Parents’ is a strength-based parenting workshop that is engaging, practical and supportive for parents.  Parents learn strategies to lessen stress, enjoy parenting more as well as learning practical strategies to build resilience in their children.

Research

Peaceful Kids is based on evidence based therapy and research from the Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction program (MBSR), Mindfulness-integrated Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (MiBCT), Positive Psychology and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. ​​


The Peaceful Kids program is endorsed by the Board of Studies, Teaching and Educational Standards (BOSTES).

Peaceful Kids has been independently reviewed and listed in the 'Be You' Programs Directory. It meets the minimum requirements set by 'Be You' and has been awarded a rating for evidence and implementation. 

Research has also been conducted through EACH on both the Peaceful Kids and Peaceful Parents program, and evaluated by Save the Children for their 'Cool for School' Program. 

Peaceful Kids is now an accredited Quality Assured External Student Wellbeing Program through NSW Department of Education.
